Isn’t How-To The Question?

Hi and Welcome!

I’m Gary Gilliam and I’m setting out on this journey to bring you as well as myself the answers to Internet Marketings How-To’s in the simplest terms possible.

I’m going to be building a REAL internet marketing business from the ground up and I hope to be able to help other people to do the same. You see, in order to be able to do this, one must be able to have access to specialized knowledge in their field.

I’ve heard it said from more than a few that the first thing that a person needs to do besides having the desire to succeed is to: Find a Mentor that you are able to follow that is doing what you want to be doing and can show and teach you how-to do what it is that you want to be successful doing.

I’ve also heard it said that ‘when the student is ready then the teacher will appear.’ I have recently had the good fortune to have found a worthy teacher/mentor with Alex Jeffreys.

You see, I realized that I have a lot in common with Alex Jeffreys (I’ll explain in a later post…) so I decided to become a student in his coaching program.

Being in Alex Jeffreys Coaching Program, has motivated and inspired me to take this essential action.

So again, I welcome you to visit here anytime and become a part of this quest. Talk soon!

    Hi Gary,

Well done on getting set up with your Blog and I have added you to my ever growing list of fellow students in ‘Alex’s Army’

Like Dean said above, you should get yourself a self hosted blog on your own domain as this will give you far more ‘freedom’ to do what you want with it rather than being tied up with WordPress itself.

Go to deans Blog and download his book as it will show you how he did it and more beside.

If you still need any help with getting your own domain, setting it up, through control panel, installing plugins or anything like that then just drop me an email and I will be glad to help you in person.

Also if you do go and get your own domain name, (I know Gary Gilliam has been taken by a musician/writer…Not you in disguise is it. :-) you can get GaryGilliamsblog.com or GaryGilliamMarketing.com for example…which has a nice ring to it don’t you think?) don’t host the name and your web hosting at the same place keep them separate as well.

The latest versions of WordPress have an automatic update feature built in which saves all the hassle of having to do a manual update as I have had problems with as you well know.

You have taken the first important step by just getting your Blog up and running, get your own independent Blog set up now as it will be easier all round than doing it later.

I wish you well and please don’t be afraid to ask questions! there is a strong community growing here don’t struggle on your own…I have had to learn nearly everything about IM myself in the beginning as there wasn’t a group of people like this around so make the most of what you have here.

Take care and Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year

    Cheers

Thanks to you both Dean and Ted for your comments and advice. I’m feel very fortunate to have people like you to call on.

I am in the process of getting my own domain and hosting going, I’m just starting out with limited cash flow, it being Christmas time things are a little tight. But I am excited about moving forward even if the going is slow.

Ever heard the story about the ‘turtle and the hare’, well I’m the turtle. There’s just one thing that’s good about that, HE WINS in the end, right
